Science Based Health Benefits of Omega-3, rTG Omega-3 May be the Fuel you Need.

Omega 3 seems to be a nutritional buzz word right now.  There seems to be adds promoting the health benefits of omega 3 everywhere.  However, all omega 3 is not created equal.  When purchasing an omega 3 supplement you must know where it comes from, what form it is in and what the potency is.

Dr Michael Lange a certified optometric physician / certified nutrition specialist who founded The Lange Eye Institute in The Villages Florida and hosts a 30-year running syndicated talk show called “ask the dr” says to look for an omega 3 that is a product of Norway in the TG or rTG form with combined levels of EPA and DHA between 1600- 2400 mg in 2 gel caps.

He states these are levels in the purest and most bio available forms that doctors and nutrition experts are currently recommending.  He also states that many factors can determine how much omega 3 one takes.  Current diet, weight, medications, lipid and inflammatory status, health conditions and much more must be factored in to determine what is the best dosage.  Dr Lange always recommends discussing this with your physician.
What is the best source of omega 3?  Omega 3 can be derived from plant and marine sources. The marine source of omega 3 is a far superior way of getting these crucial essential fatty acids.   Plant sources of omega 3 are chia seed, flax seed, hemp and walnuts.  Plant sources of omega 3 are in the form of Alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) that are very poorly converted to omega 3 essential fatty acids EPA and DHA.  Marine sources provide omega 3 directly in the form of EPA and DHA and are a far superior way to get these essential omega 3 fatty acids.

Omega 3 can come from a variety of marine species like krill, fish, muscles and squid however the majority of omega 3 studies have used omega three from fish oils.  Cold water fish like Sardines, Anchovies, Salmon, Herring and Mackerel are the best dietary sources of omega 3.

Omega 3 fish oil supplements have become very popular over the last 20 years due to the positive health benefits of consuming more omega 3. Most nutrition experts will recommend consumption of fish 2-3 times per week and not more due to the potential toxins that can accumulate in these fish.  Wild Alaskan Salmon and Sardines seem to be two of the safest fish with some of the highest levels of omega 3.  Most nutrition experts and physicians agree that a high-quality concentrated triglyceride (Tg) form or re-esterified triglyceride form( rTG) omega three fish oil seems to be the best way to get these valuable essential fatty acids.
Is there proof that health benefits of omega 3 are legitimate?  Omega 3 has over 25,000 clinical studies validating its health benefits.  There are many condition specific health applications that the correct form of omega 3 may support. These studies demonstrate omega 3 may bring valuable nutritional support to the lungs, heart, eye, brain, skin and joints.

Many studies also validate omega 3 supports athletic performance and recovery after training.  The standard American diet (SAD) is low in omega 3 and very high in pro inflammatory omega 6.   Evidence based science suggests that increasing levels of omega 3 in the body will have a positive impact on your health.

Omega index blood testing has found a positive correlation between high omega 3 in the blood and better health.   An 8% or higher omega index score correlates with a reduction in negative cardiovascular events.  The typical American has an omega index somewhere between 2-4%.
Most people will not consume the necessary amount of high-quality fish during the week to maintain an omega index above 8%.  Taking a good (Tg) form or (rTG) form omega 3 supplement from Norway with levels between 1600-2400mg in 2 gel caps is a natural approach to gaining the positive health benefits of omega 3.
Significant evidence now exists to support the numerous health benefits of omega 3 and most experts will agree that an omega index above 8% is the heart healthy zone.  The general consensus among nutritional experts is to eat 3 servings of good quality cold water fish weekly or take a good TG or rTG omega 3 fish oil made in Norway with levels of omega 3 between 1600- 2400 in two gel caps.  Overweight, athletes, diabetics, elevated triglycerides, elevated cholesterol and people with auto immune and collagen vascular diseases may benefit from the higher levels of omega 3.

Always discuss your supplements with your physician.

The general health benefits of omega 3 have been studied for years but recent studies have shown that omega 3 is beneficial for eye health as well.   Current and ongoing studies have produced positive evidence that the correct form and dosing of omega 3 may benefit diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, dry eye syndrome, uveitis, iritis and glaucoma.   Optometrists and ophthalmologists are embracing this relatively new science regarding the positive impact omega 3 may have for their patients.

Dr Michael Lange of The Lange Eye Institute has been involved in the R&D of omega 3 supplements since the early 90s and has seen the positive impact dietary changes and omega 3 supplementation can have.  He was not impressed with the typical low quality low levels of omega 3 fish oil his patients could buy OTC so after years of research and omega index testing Dr Lange created Fortifeye Super Omega.  This is a Norwegian produced omega 3 with 1600 mg of rTG  omega 3 in 2 gel caps.

This omega 3 has 900 EPA and 600 DHA in 2 gel caps.  Omega index studies done at the Lange Eye Institute proved that 100% of the people less than 250 lbs had an omega index between 9.2-11% after two weeks of Fortifeye Super Omega 2 per day dosing.  Dr Lange and Fortifeye Vitamins developed Fortifeye Super Omega 3 Max in 2019 with a total omega 3 of 2400 in 2 gel caps.  This supplement was developed for people that may benefit from higher dosing of a good rTG form omega 3 fish oil.

Fortifeye Vitamins released a 180 count of their popular Fortifeye Super Omega in August of 2023 for a price of only $68.  Dr Lange and Fortifeye Vitamins wanted to develop the highest quality omega 3 supplement for the best price with Fortifeye Super Omega and Fortifeye Super Omega 3 Max. This is one of the reasons doctors all over the country are recommending Fortifeye Vitamins omega 3 supplements.

Health benefits of omega 3 are numerous and more and more studies are being published about the positive impact people can realistically obtain from eating good quality fish or taking a high quality tg or rTG omega 3 fish oil supplements.  God made a pretty good body and as long as the correct fuel is given the body can perform at optimal levels.  Think of  tg form omega 3 or rTG omega 3 as the high-octane race fuel.  Learn more and see the latest studies at www.healthbenefitsofomega3.com
